Northman HVAC was founded by husband and wife team Corey & Kristen Rainey. After a decade of working in the HVAC industry, Corey found himself unhappy with the level of honesty and integrity that presented itself among other companies. Corey had a need and a passion for high levels of quality service and fair pricing to his customers. With a little encouragement from his family, he set out to create a company that not only passionately cares for its customers, but also its employees. Kristen has a combined 25 years experience with customer service, client relations and marketing. Both Corey and Kristen care deeply about their community and this industry's need for honesty, integrity, loyalty, and honestly...a sense of humor.

How do I know if I need a new HVAC system?
We recommend thinking about replacing your system if it is at the 15-20 year mark or there is frequent repairs needed. Ultimately, the only person that can decide when you're ready to replace your system is you!
How will I know if my HVAC system needs repair?
While to some this could seem self explanatory, there are a number of things to pay close attention to that could indicate that there is repair needed.
Strange Noises: Squealing, Scraping or Grinding
Strange Smells: Burning, Musty/Moldy
System is blowing warm air into your home
Weak air flow
Your thermostat is not working
Rising or high electric bill
Moisture leaking in or around your system
You're probably sweating a great deal more than usual
How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?
We recommend annually or bi-annually depending on how often you use your system. Added bonus? We get to check in on how you and your family are doing.
How can I make my HVAC system more energy efficient?
Long story short, there aren't many things that you can do to make the system itself more efficient. A hard start kit can be installed to cause your system to pull less energy on start. Making sure things in your home are set up for success is key. Items such as: Ensuring you have the right sized system for your home (not too big or not too small Goldilocks!), Insulation, Replacing Your Windows, Routine Maintenance and Keeping the temperature inside your home within 5 degrees at all times, can extend the life and efficiency of your HVAC system.
The temperature is not the same in different rooms!!
It's normal for temperature to vary in different rooms in your household or space if you have one thermostat. However, temperature variance can also indicate a poor design on your duct work or even air filtration issues.
I have bad allergies, what can you do to help?
Allergies are the worst aren't they?? While we don't have medical degrees, we can tell you that checking the type of air filters you are utilizing and how often you are changing them could be an easy fix! Ask our technicians about the types of filters you can use in your home. If you are interested in other equipment because you or any of your family members struggle with allergies, ask us about air cleaners or air scrubbers. But we probably won't bring it up unless you do...because that's awkward.
How much will it cost to repair or replace my HVAC system?
Most HVAC companies hate this question, but its a good one! As much as we would love to give you a hard answer or even a range, we can't. Our technicians are trained to perform a diagnostic and review the findings with you in a way that you can easily understand before performing your tailored service. Aspects such as: size of your home, your specific needs, brand of your HVAC system, parts and labor all come into play. What we can tell you, is that we understand how stressful unexpected HVAC problems can be, and we are there to give you the best possible solution for your budget, without the sales pitch. We are there to help, not sell you unnecessary services or upgrades to your system.
It's the weekend or after hours and I need help!
Don't panic!! Just like your bestie, we are there for you 24/7 with our emergency services. It's best to give us a call after hours or on the weekends instead of emailing or utilizing our contact form so that you get the fastest response time. If you have to leave a voicemail, please give us as many details (spill that tea) as possible and rest assured that we will get back to you ASAP.

Great observation! While normally this would indicate that we are terrible, its actually because we just started! I know, I know, this can create some trust issues and questions like, "How are we supposed to know you're a good company to go with?" We can't really answer that, but we are always happy to be a second opinion or even refer you to another company if you'd like a second opinion. We started this company because we saw a major need in this industry for honest, fair pricing, paired with transparency. We are a family just like yours, and we are new to Buckeye, AZ (we love it here!), and we have zero interest in running away with your wallet, we wanted to start this business because we care about our neighbors and so that we could be together more as a family.
